Weekend 5: Final Game (19 October 2003)

ICC defeated Mavs Cricket Club in a thriller where 340 runs were scored in 50 overs. The Winding Hollow pitch looked like a batting pitch when both the teams went after the bowlers without mercy. Mavs Cricket Club batted brilliantly to make 168 runs in 25 overs but ICC showed no weakness and chased the total in 23.2 overs. Krishna (MCC) made 55 runs in 63 balls to help MCC get a huge total. Shiva (ICC) replied with a brilliant 57 runs in 36 balls to take ICC to victory.

Weekend 4: SemiFinals (11/12 October 2003)

1. Mavs Cricket Club batted brilliantly and made 173 runs in 25 overs to defeat Wilson Cricket Club by 45 runs. Prabhu made 50 runs for the Mavs and Amir made 51 runs for the Wilson Cricket Club.
2. ICC bowled brilliantly to restrict Texas Kings to a very low total of 61 runs and won confortably. Ravinder Singh and Bahadur shared 3 wickets each to break the Texas Kings batting order.

Weekend 3: (4/5 October 2003)

1. Wilson Cricket Club vs Texas Kings: Game abandoned due to rain.
2. Desi Warriors vs Texas Tornados: Game abandoned due to rain.
3. Galli Challengers get a bye as Pacers back out.
4. Sharma claims 3 wickets to lead ICC to victory against Mavs CC despite Manoj's late knock of 23 runs/ 15 ball.

Weekend 2: (27/28 September 2003)

1. Sachin's knock of 39 runs and brilliant bowling helped Wilson Cricket Club defeat Galli Challengers.
2. Brilliant bowling by ICC restricted Desi Warriars to 70 runs to win comfortably.
3. Saket's brilliant knock of 46 runs helped Texas Kings defeat Pacers.
4. Mukund and Prashant claimed 3 wickets each and bowled very economically to take Mavs Cricket Club to victory agains Texas Tornados.

Weekend 1: (20/21 September 2003)

1. Amir Syed smashed 50 runs in 26 balls to lead Wilson Cricket Club to victory against the Pacers
2. Abhishek's 4 wickets haul and 40 runs lead Texas Kings to victory against Galli Challengers
3. Mayur's 31 runs and Ravi's 3 wicket haul helped ICC win against Texas Tornados
4. Balaji's 4 wicket haul helped Mavs Cricket Club restrict Desi Warriors to a low score of 63 runs to win comfortably.

Dallas Cricket League is conducting a 25 overs tennis ball cricket tournament starting on 20th September that would last for around 5 weekends. Matches will be played on Saturday's and Sunday's and each team would play exactly 1 match per weekend. This would be a fun filled event as this is the first time we are bringing all the tennis ball cricket teams for a 25 overs tournament in the Dallas-Fortworth area.

Tournament Format

A total of 8 teams have registered for the tournament. The teams have been divided into 2 groups A and B each having 4 teams. Each team will play with the other 3 teams in that group to qualify for the semi-finals. The teams are ranked based on the points earned and the top 2 teams from each group would qualify for the semifinals. Run Rate would be considered in case of a tie to rank the team

The points awarded would be:
Win = 4 points
Draw = 2 points
Loss = 0 points.

Tournament Venues

The tournament matches would be held on the following 3 grounds in Dallas and Plano.

Winding Hollow Ground: In Plano at the intersection of Plano Parkway and Winding Hollow.
Frankford Ground: In North Dallas at the intersection of Coit and Frankford.
Wilson Ground: In Plano at the intersection of Plano Parkway and Custor.

Arrangements are in progress and each team is required to provide 2 volunteers during the tournament who will be called as required to help with umpiring, scoring or supervising a match.
